Privacy
Pixel Race is a small browser game run by one person. It has no ads, no analytics, no tracking cookies, and it never sells or shares your data for marketing. This page says exactly what it keeps and where.
On your device
Your settings, nickname, your runs and personal bests, a saved Da Vinci challenge in progress, your sign-in session and a random id used in online rooms are stored in your browser's local storage. They never leave the device unless a section below says so. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes all of it.
Global boards
When you finish the daily picture or the Da Vinci challenge while online, the game sends your nickname, the picture, the date, the result (cells painted, time, mistakes, brush tier) and the stroke log (where you painted, which colour, when) to the game's server, which replays the log to verify the score. The nickname and result appear publicly on the boards. The stroke log of the day's best run is sent to other players so they can race its ghost, so treat it as public too. Boards keep one row per player per picture, and rows stay until removed on request.
Levels
Your device keeps a random key for the Levels road. When you pass a level, the game sends the level number, the boosters you used and the stroke log, together with that key, to the game's server, which checks the pass and stores it under a hash of the key (or under your account when you are signed in). Your nickname, your three-star streak and the stroke logs of your best passes appear on the public road board. Every attempt, pass or fail, is also sent with the level number, the result, the time and the boosters, to tune the difficulty; nobody can read those attempts through the game. Signing in moves your device's passes to your account.
Accounts (optional)
You can play without an account. If you sign in, the game needs your email address: either to send you a sign-in code and link, or as the address of the Google account you choose. Google shares your email address and basic profile (name, picture) with the sign-in service; the game itself shows only your email. Your account id is stored with your runs so your records follow you across devices, together with the nickname you chose. Signing out removes the session from the device; it does not delete the account.
Online rooms
In an online room your nickname, a random id and your strokes are relayed live to the other players in that room. Public rooms show the host's nickname in the open-rooms list while the room is open. Nothing from a room is stored after it ends.
Where it runs
The site is served by Vercel, whose servers keep standard request logs (such as IP addresses) for a short time. Scores, accounts and live rooms run on Supabase in the European Union (Ireland). Google is involved only if you choose to sign in with Google.
Removal
To have your account, your board rows or your stroke logs deleted, contact the owner through github.com/EldadStyleZ. Removal is done by hand, usually within a few days.
Children
The game is meant for university students and adults. No one under 16 should create an account.
